Merge with RuneRevolution & 100m Competition!:
This week, @"Megatron" purchased the website 'RuneRevolution'
from @".Judgement". He then proceeded to merge the database
with that of RuneGear and this is the end result. We now have a lot more
posts, more threads, more members and more activity! :thumbsup:
The total was $300 which was provided majoritarily by
@"Relapse" and @"Bumble Bee" however a lot of other members
also contributed, so thanks to everyone who chipped in, no matter the amount!:thumbsup:
Yes, you heard right! You might have only been here a few days however
the first RuneGear competition to celebrate the joining of forums is here!
You can win up to 50m RSGP if you should win first prize, which is quite a lot
considering how EASY it is to win! All you have to do is post. That's it.
No catches. Just post and you should notice your 'RG Points' number will rise.
That keeps track of how many points you have gained and the user with the
most points when the competition closes wins! Simple as that. The current leader

RuneRevolution Theme:
As a result of merging with RuneRevolution many users from
RR didn't really like the current RuneGear theme and as a result
@"Megatron" has made the RR theme available for users to apply.
ou can change to it by scrolling to the bottom left of the page
and changing it to "RRev" - This should help you settle in better. :happy:
How to make this more feel like home :
Like everything in life you sometimes have to do some-things
you don't really like nor do you want to do. The same thing applies here
and if you really don't know how to 'fit in' on RuneGear @"Megatron" posted
a quick thread explaining what he plans to do to make everyone feel

500 Internal Server Error + MySQL Error:
Recently numerous users have been experiencing '500 Internal
Server Error's' and MySQL errors. This was caused by an abusive website
on the host. The majority of this has been fixed however you may still
encounter some errors. Please just keep trying and you will
eventually get online. You can find some more information 'here.'

Pink Floyd is my alias, only friends know my name.
I'm 18 in December, live in CA.
Do you have any hobbies/sports?
My hobbies are RG, Minecraft and I play basketball. When I'm
on the computer I usually browse my favorite websites, manage
a Minecraft server with a friend, play AoS etc. If you haven't played
AoS yet, btw, you have to try it. Get over the lack of good graphics and
be open minded.
What kind of games do you play online?
Online I play Minecraft and Ace of Spades. Once in a blue moon
I'll play Runescape. Not even then, maybe once in a red moon?
Don't know, Runescape is pretty boring but it's fun to bot.

Do you have any real friends/people you look up to in the community?
Dykerosoft, Mike, TE, all long time friends.
Do you have any goals?
My only RG related goals are to make tons of Events and keep the
community happy with them. I have tons of ideas that are constantly
refreshing and I look forward to working with TE and Mike to improve
the community with loads of fun and well organized events.

Infrastructure Maintenance:
This week Jagex is making some technical changes both in-game and
on the website and forums. Jagex have predicted some areas of the game
and website may be down at some times and should you get an error
then you now know why.
RuneFest T-Shirts:

available at RuneFest this year. If I'm honest, I wouldn't be seen

Bot-Busting and Bonuses For All:
Yes, Jagex are once again attempting to crack down on bots.
Their latest operation, named 'ClusterFlutterer' (What the fuck?)
was released Tuesday 25th October. Jagex claim they have also
recently detected and banned over 1.5 million botting and gold farming accounts.
Which I find hard to believe because there's only about 180k players online.
Yes, you heard bonuses for all. Here they are:
Wednesday:
Tickets earned from winning a game will be triple the usual amount. (Woo.......)
Thursday:
Penguin Hide & Seek: Double points.
Evil Tree: Triple XP.
Shooting Star: Triple XP while mining it and increased final rewards.
Familiarization: Players will receive the lucky charm AND ingredient box instead of having to choose.
Friday:
Players will receive triple the usual amount of zeal points.
Personally I see these rewards as an attempt to cover up the fact
that the majority of bots will be back online by the end of the week..
Phishing Emails – How to Stay Safe:
Jagex has finally addressed the issue of phishing of their accounts.
They have provided a little 'Q&A' style post basically addressing the issue.

Bot-Nuking Day: Making RuneScape Fairer and More Fun!
(Yeah right, I'll believe it when I see it):
Yes, today was 'Bot-nuke day' in which Jagex hoped to permanently
rid 'Reflection' bots (RSBots.net) from the game. They have apparently changed
a lot around according to the latest reports however the current word
is that it's fixable. RSBuddy developer 'Jacmob' who's client partially
uses Reflection has posted an update on what's currently happening 'here.'
The current word from RSBots.net is that they're still evaluating the situation.
Last Cold War-era B53 nuclear bomb dismantled in Texas:
The last of America's most powerful Cold War-era nuclear bombs
the B-53 has been dismantled in Texas, USA. Chemical Experts
have separated around 300lb of highly dangerous explosives
from the bottom of what is described as, 'the uranium pit'.
The B-53 was 600 times more powerful than the atomic bomb
dropped on Hiroshima during WWII.
Metropolitan Police PC sacked for 999 calls failures:
An emergency phone operator working for the Metropolitan
Police has been sacked for mishandling 999 calls. The 58
year old operator who has not yet been named did not
provide a police response to 141 cases, including rapes,
domestic abuse and assaults.
