As of next week, Rune Gear will be shifting slightly in management and significantly in the path we are headed. Numerous times we have discussed our movement into gaming, yet nothing has been done so to accelerate this change. Glen and I sat down and discussed what needed to be done, we've mutually agreed upon the following actions in regards to Rune Gear:

- I am moving back into the head position of the forum. Changes have to run by me, Glen is the owner of the forum and I am the highest position of management.
- We are reverting back to the black theme we had with newer modifications to improve its functionality and user-experience.
- We are getting new userbars designed, all constant.
- We are removing the front-end currently and installing a new one with a great design, as well as hiring writers to be writing content.

Most importantly, we are pruning all posts and private message. We are going to revert to a brand new database, although member accounts and UIDs will remain. We will ensure that some threads are still here, so we'll probably end up with 20K-25K posts. We want this to be a fresh start into gaming, we want to focus on ensuring this change is enforced and members embrace it by making it as beneficial as it is to you guys. This fresh start allows us to wipe the slate clean and give members a new opportunity to start new. More information will be released regarding this, but what do you think?

Start new? As in 0 posts/reputation ect? I don't like that.

Most of it sounds good.

Will account stats such as rep and awards be moving over to the new database?

We're still considering a reputation restart and reputation for all members including Staff, but I'm not too sure. Awards would be fresh EXCEPT ones that have been won from contests, donating and upgrading.

Sounds promising though starting new for some isn't going to go over so well.

Thanks for filling us in on this information. It sounds good to me.

One suggestion I would offer is having a statistic that shows your posts on the previous forum. People have spent a long time on this forum and their posts. They consider these posts an accomplishment. I don't want 100 posts on my account and have no recognition for my other 1800 posts.

I really don't want reputation deleted. I consider my 286 rep an accomplishment and I wouldn't want it removed.

Fantastic idea, cheers.

I understand that, and I will keep thinking of ideas to compensate members.

I don't like the idea of "starting new" just the thought of starting over with 0 posts makes me feel like it would become a chore.

I'll see a way to ensure that the members that have worked hard are not going to be neglected.

Are we still going to have the hacking sections? I mean we should keep them for Runescape at least because you said it yourself, we have a monopoly of RS forums.

I wouldn't really mind starting with 0 posts and 0 reputation even though pretty much all of mine is new considering I have only been here three months. But then again, I don't think many people would like that since like Adam stated it is an accomplishment.

What a joke this forum is.

"Oh lets wait untill the work of raising traffic starts paying off then we will fuck shit up even more".

Forum changes hands more than thai jailbait...

I'm sorry you feel this way, if you have a reasonable idea please say so and I will take it into serious consideration.

this months profit $300(estimate) * 11 = Investment paying off.

Now you decide to start fresh and enter the general gaming scene....... idk why you would clean the database and leave only members accounts (Do you really think anyone other than the administration, your skype buddys & the few loyal members will be active?)

Well, I'll try. The only thing that bothers me is starting over with 0 posts. Big numbers = happy Scenery.

B-b-b-but I just passed 100 rep...

So you're saying RAF is trying to screw Glen over?
