Is there a way to get ROM information, say Super Mario Bros to a DS game? And if so, what would be require to?

Whatever type of ds it is there should be an r4 for it. They cost roughly $30 for the cartridge, then you need to buy a micro-sd card to transfer the roms with, which will be another $20. So you pay $50 for all the games you need ]
