Robot Kills Man at Volkswagen Plant

A 22 year old Volkswagen worker has died setting up a stationary robot for the Volkswagen plant in Germany. when the robot grabbed and crushed him against a metal plate. 

VW spokesperson Heiko Hillwigsaid's initial conclusions indicate that human error was to blame, rather than a problem with the robot. 

[align=center]The 22 year old was part of a team that was setting up the stationary robot when it grabbed and crushed him against a metal plate, Hillwig said. The Robot can be programmed to perform various tasks in the assembly process as it normally operates within a confined area at the plant, grabbing auto parts and manipulating them.

There is still an on-going investigation.
