Red, splinter-like thing under skin?

Sorry for crappy quality.

It's a red spot under the skin, and around it is quite blue.
I've had it for nearly 2 years now, so I know it's not a splinter as my mum pierced the skin with a needle, but all it was, was dry blood?

Every so often, normally when I apply pressure it sort of 'bursts' inside and hurts like hell. It's like a splinter when you run your finger across in a certain direction, it's like that.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows anyone who has and what it is?

It could be the things you get from too much sun, i forgot the name of it.

Apparently it's a burst blood vessel, wouldn't be the smartest choice to vacuum a blood vessel out, would it?
