What do you think will happen to the ones getting farther and farther away? Phats, santa hats, halloween masks, they all have become tradable, rare, and VERY expensive, along with christmas crackers, easter eggs, etc. Will the santa costume, or cornucopia ever become of any value? Even the things before that? I personally think all event items will become rare, tradeable and expensive, just like phats and santa hats. I just wish I would have played when phats came out, and santas were dropped.
 
Because of the market. They never thought that something that doesn't even add to your stats would be so costly. That's why they didn't make other holiday items trade able.
 
Yea Didn't they say somewhere that they arn't going to make any more Holiday items tradable?

But yea I think the rares as it is kinda got out of hand
Like for one hat its 2.4b like common...
 
I agree... I remember when phats were 100m before free trade. Now, they are 10 times that much.
 
Jagex said way back when on the forums that everything post 2002 was not going to become tradeable at all. Just because it was bring too much burden on the economy etc etc. They should only be for-show items awarded to the people around in that time. I still think the coolest items are the Yo-yo, Scythe and bunny ears... best untradeables.

I have a rubber chicken and bunny ears =)
The bunny ears are by far the coolest who wouldn't want to be a dancing bunny?
And the rubber chicken I think I got in 05-06 not to sure
 
Woohoo I got chicken to, I got quite a bit on it from old, not sure about bunny ears though ;'(.
 
They will never make them tradeable, i think they should but they wont./
 
2.4b for a Party hat isn't a ridiculous price, there's over 2 millions players and there are at least 2k of each party hat and that's decreasing.

@[eXero], I agree. I'd prefer 10b cash than 4 phats.
