Hi there!

I got you a question on xbox live banning.

Do xbox just randomly ban OG's on suspicions or is there always reasons when they ban you?

I been talking to a few friends that say they got their OG tags.. Put them onto freshies and Played on them for Weeks/ Months... They didn't message anyone on the account about purchase ect. They hardly messaged anyone altogether, yet they still got banned... for theft and purchase.

No matter how quiet you are... they can still get you? at ANY time?? could be a year down the line and they get you ?
Whats are your opinions on this? have you ever encountered these kinda problems?

I think if the name has a bad history it flags up.

Like if you scam people for e.g on the Gamertag God and you do a lot of illegal stuff or whatever.

Then someone reports the name God , and whenever you swap I think the names still flagged up and not the account. That's what I think. As I seen random OG on fresh banned.

Also I think something similar happened to the tag want after it was turbod

most of the time the reason an account gets into the eyes of getting banned is because the gamertag gets (or has gotten) a fair amount of file complaints. I don't think it's because of being 'original' at all.

@"the host" thank you for your thoughts, i find them very helpful with the issue and you may be right :D . @Drakemood you make a good point, I mean is.. if its swapped to a new account and is fresh... still gets banned. what you think Drake? when swapping it... it means its all new and fresh (no history ect)

Well think of it this way, Xbox Live code of conduct it says you can't sell gamertags and all that. So when it gets swapped, Xbox will treat the gamertag as the same owner. Just a new account. So although it is a new account. the gamertag itself has had complaints on it,

so I think it's about the history of the gamertag
