Question about using MSN?

Would the username be like an email like ******@msn.com or if it was ex; [email protected] would someone add me as "penislovinghomo" or "[email protected] .
I want an MSN but I wanna know if it would be like a username or email .

otherwise I would have the MSN Quad instead of [email protected]
