Question about how to tell my gf about something serious?

Ok so i have nystagmus im not sure what kind it is it doesnt move as rapid as other nystagmus' ive seen but some people do ask about it which means you can tell. So ive been with my gf for about a month now and he hasnt said anything about it. A big part of this i think is because i avoid eye contact as much as i can. He wants me to meet his family already but im really nervous because i know that theyll look at me n notice it right away. What do i do? Im so confused. Ive been avoiding the get together for some time now

be straight forward and tell her every thing as it comes. That is the best way, may be this sounds a little bad in the beginning but ultimately that is the best thing. I am that way and never keep any thing from her and make it clear.

Dude, just be up front and honest. If she cares for you she will care for you with a condition or not. My son has tourette syndrome, not bad, just a mild case and he does some things like that. I also have a problem like that. But it never stopped me from being honest. Just because you have a slight condition does not make you any less of a person. Take it from me.

eye movement - the movement of the eyes
physiological nystagmus - small involuntary tremors of the eyeballs; when it is eliminated by stabilizing the image on the retina, visual perception fades rapidly from fatigue of the retinal receptors
rotational nystagmus - nystagmus caused by the body rotating rapidly; large slow movements of the eyeballs are in the direction of rotation
post-rotational nystagmus - nystagmus caused by suddenly stopping the rapid rotation of the body; large slow movements of the eyeballs are in the direction opposite to the direction of rotation.

about your concern i guess you got to tell your girlfriend all about it. if she really loves you she will accept you for who and what you are, strengths, weaknesses and all.. good luck! it's not really something you have to be ashamed of because it's not your fault you have it.i suggest you also go to a doctor to have it checked so that if it needs treatment you can have it.

Well since you have that condition already, there is nothing to do but face it. Show them what you are, if they look at your good side and not in your condition then they are good people who knows how to deal with people no matter how they look. And despite that, your girlfriend still would want you to meet her parents or family, that is a good sign that she is proud of you. I would suggest you to tell them about your condition because if you will try to avoid looking at them in the eye, then they would think you are not a sincere person or something to that effect. If they dislike you, face it too. Life has to go on. Continue to be what you are.
