Question about Awards

When user's that own awards get permanently banned to never return, what happens to the award that they owned?

As I was wondering, can the awards get recycled and allow another user to buy the ownership of the award or is the award lost forever.

Thanks for the clarification man, I was just a bit clueless as I have seen some rather nice awards with owner's that are banned and to not return. I will be interested to see when one of these auctions are, as I may purchase an award.
