Purchasing A Skateboard?

Okay guys so I have been wanting a skate board for a while now, and I finally have a good chuck of money. But the problem is, is that I don't know whether to get a penny, long board, or just a normal skateboard. I used to ride my friends skate board all the time and it was the best! I have no desire to do tricks or anything. I just want something that is fun and takes little pushes to make it long ways and a smooth ride. Maybe even a little speed?
