Post count in the Initiations & Farewells section.

Not going to name names but I see that section riddled with the same users replying to newly registered users threads in order to see their post count rise. I feel like there should be a stop to this, anyone feel the same way?

It's a bot that automatically reply's to new threads in that section for Philly's account. It gives new members links to the help documents, and also ensures that Philly is the first to greet them.

As for others, it doesn't really bother me. If people want to post boost, let them. It only makes them look low quality.

Thank you for the information Brian, I also see no problem in welcoming newer members. As for me i won't exactly be doing it. In my honest opinion it's really "Low Quality" writing.

There is a difference between genuinely introducing a new member and just posting the same LQ thing in order to inflate their post count.

Simple solution to this is that the post count in the section should not be counted obviously.

If members truly have the intention of genuinely welcoming members, this won't matter to them and they will continue doing so.
