Points system.

I think less plugins the better to be honest, unless its absolutely needed.
 
Although I'm new, I wouldn't like to see this. Less plugins the better.
 
I would love too see this since I don't have money to buy Power+.
 
Well, if you do decide to add one, be sure to add a points market place for people to buy / sell with them.
 
That'd be a nice feature. too bad I'm at school I can barely see the new colours and half the site doesn't work on this damn IE8.
 
I think a Points System would be great. It would basically give members rewards for being active.
 
I am not sure about it but im not putting it down. Give it a try and if it doesnt work then don't use it.
 
Well, it looks like this is getting added, according to the poll votes.
But, depending on the point currency, I guess it wouldn't be a terrible idea to work with.
Also, would we all be starting out fresh? Everyone with 0 points, correct?
 
I voted yes to give it a shot. I'm curious as to how this will work. I'm loving the changes to FK. It really makes things feel better and more interesting.
 
I'd love it if Forum Korner had it's own currency system. Certain things can be bought and a 'point whore' award would sure make me laugh, but points can be used in a variety of things.

How will you be able to earn the points exactly other than purchasing them and posting? The idea sounds solid, but we are a gaming forum, not Swag Bucks. I like the idea that you have put thought into those that may not have a source for online funding, and you're giving them a chance to purchase site-related items. But what I really see is a high increase in spam and more low quality posts if such a plug-in be implemented. I am not 100% against this idea, I just think it needs more of a structure behind it before I lean towards the agreeing side.

Points are earned through posting, per each thread and/or post. If you'd like to make big bucks refer a friend. I don't think spam or low quality posting would be too big of a problem, but I do see where you're coming from. I'd just think our members wouldn't abuse the system that much, just for the hell of having some source of online currency, but I'm pretty sure if the system gets added and spamming and low quality posting becomes a major issue, Philly will most likely just deactivate the plugin and remove all currency or have the users currency reset.
 
But are upgraded members going to have to purchase a username change?

Most likely not, it's a perk to upgrading.
