Paper Clip > House

My dad used to tell me stories about a guy who started with a paper clip and traded his way up to a house.

Anyways he traded his paper clip for a pen, pen for a door knob, door knob for a mini portable stove, etc. He winded up with a fucking house. IMO that's crazy. What are your thoughts?

I know the story and the wiki post is legit, and yes I did indeed learn things from my English teacher.
