Overpaying for SMs

ok so i know some people do it for a profit and all but i know there's those couple of people who will just do it bc they think their cool because name. I wouldnt pay over a certain ammount for an SM. What do you think?

Unless you're purchasing the username for resale, starting a stat page, or using it to promote yourself/business, than I see no point in buying them.

I have underpayed for nice SMs, and greatly overpayed before. It just depends on how much I really want something and the potential i see in it. I've never lost money in this scene before so it's working.

I've also done this. Sometimes it's hard to know what will happen with the market, as an example, an IG worth more than $100 and you bought it for that amount could be lowered to a value of $50 within a few months. You could have also bought an OG that others aren't interested in anymore but they were when you bought it.
