Opinions on Marines

Whats your opinion on joining the marines?

I think the men that join are amazing and doing what they think is right, personally i'm not brave enough to ever dare to do what they do.

i couldnt agree anymore with what you just said. Ive always wanted to join but i watch movies and documentaries and i would never be able to go through what they go through.

I don't think you have to be a high school valedictorian, but joining the army does require decent grades and knowledge.

i was going to drop out and get my GED then go into the marines but you cant join with just a GED

I don't think you should drop out for anything, being a high school graduate will help dramatically.

You need a 2.0 to join any part of the service.

I'm currently in a JROTC class at my school, I'd love to be one I just don't think I'm fit out for it, right now I'm looking to get into being a pilot for the Air Force.

Currently there's a lot of trouble going on with corrupt people in the service, doing what they want, not following order, causing anarchy because they can, for the most part it's the Army.

everytime i watch a video or movie about war it makes me want to join even more

The men are brave yes, but look at the outcome, a lot of times people come back to the US with severe PTSD, or another psychological issue. To be around all that death in pain, I couldn't imagine anyone wanting to go into that.

You would die to serve your country, respectable. Just not something I would do, I here so many stories how veterans have a terrible and hard life after coming back.

yeah, to be honest i love America but this country is so fucked up. theres nothing to die for.

Agreed, It would be honorable to die in combat, but no one will know what YOU did for your country. You'll just be another person on the body count. I want to die and have people remember what I did.

I'm scared of the uncertainty of death, my beliefs hope their is a Heaven or a Hell. When death comes I won't realize it. Hopefully when I die its painless and fast, not bloody and in agony.

well when i die i want to be remembered as someone that did something also. and you will be remembered as a marine that died
