Opinions on gays?

I don't mind them. I don't care for their antics, I don't care if they want to be married. They are human, it's their life not mine so I have no right to judge or be hateful towards them. What are your opinion on gays? I know many people are homophobic here and have a deep hatred for homosexuals.
 
I don't mind gays at all, but don't be gay towards me and we'll be cool.
 
I don't mind them but the ones who are really flamboyant tend to annoy me.
 
There is no legitimate reason to hate on gay people. People should be able to do what they want without fear of negative judgement. Those who don't like people acting all gay or flamboyant should consider that's maybe just how the person is, and they're just trying to be themselves? unless ofc they're all up in your face tryng to make out with you and shit but then that doesn't mean every gay person's going to be like that.
 
I have no problem with gays we're all human. As long as they don't try no gay shit with me then were cool.
 
It grosses me out to see dudes kissing. Dont think that will ever change.
 
I'll be totally honest here. I don't mind them, they can do whatever they like. The ones who're really showy about it and want everyone to know/care, annoy the shit out of me. Other than that, as long as they don't try to come onto me, I don't care.

At this point, the only reason people hate gays is because it says so in the holy book written 2000 years ago. If it was never written down as a law in Leviticus, then there would basically be equality. That idea put prejudice and hatred into people's minds. There is absolutely no reason that gay marriage should be illegal. If you have a problem with gay people being married, then you're not a true human being. Marriage is a human right, a right that all humans should have. By denying that right, you are an ignorant oppressor who shouldn't be allowed to have any say in today's government. If you believe that gay marriage should be illegal, than you should also believe that black people should still be slaves, and that women should stay covered up, and that only white, christian, land-owning males should have a say in politics. If you hate gays, you are a primitive being, incapable of comprehensible thought.

Who am I to judge what another adult does? We're all human, we don't have to like each other but that doesn't mean you should be disrespectful to another person because they have made different decisions in their life than you have. I personally have no problems with any group of people(with the exception of the United States government as a whole). As long as all parties involved are consenting I couldn't give a fuck less what you do.
 
An individual may decide upon their sexuality on their own accord; it's not for someone else to decide.
 
I have no issue with them, everybody should be allowed to do as they please and marry/date/be in love with whoever they want, no matter the gender. I'll be honest though, the only thing that makes me feel uncomfortable is if I see 2 guys making out in front of me, just makes me uneasy. I don't have an issue with the politics of it, but seeing it just kinda throws me off. Not homophobic though..
 
I find is strange that everyone stated that they are fine with homosexual people as long as they don't bother them. Wouldn't that either apply for every single person or for none at all? So why even point it out, its not something you would've have said if the question were about heterosexuals, now would it? By saying that, and not the same about heterosexuals, you are separating homosexuals from the group of "normal" people just as much as people that hate them. Unto the topic on hand though, I don't have anything against homosexuals.

This bothers me as well. It's as if they don't even think of them as equals. Everyone should be treated the same. When people say, "I'm fine with them as long as I don't see them," it's a cop-out. They're still afraid of gay people, and want to treat them as outsiders. You can either think of them as equals or not. There should be no gray area.

Indeed and the fact that those who say that refer to homosexuals as "them" shows that some may not even think of homosexuals as creatures of the same value as heterosexuals.

When I say "them," I am referring to them as a group of people, which is an accurate statement. Considering that I am not gay, I cannot use "us." Using "them" to describe homosexuals does not show that I think of them as lesser beings. I refer to Christians, Republicans, minorities, etc. as "them," but only because I am not a member of that specific group. I believe they are equals and should be treated as such.
