I didn't mention Power+ because everybody knows it's the best.
Onyx:
Pros: It's sexy as hell. It can be bought with Koins or real money.
Cons: It's really expensive for real money. Usernames aren't animated.

Power:
Pros: It's cheaper then Onyx. It looks really professional.
Cons: It can't be bought with Koins. Onyx looks sexier.

Power is better, but you can't have Power without Onyx so I would say Onyx is better because you can't just buy Power.

I guess I see the logic in there. But in reality, the upgrade order is:
Onyx > Power > Power+
