I am going to assume you talking about influence to the economy. There are three sides. The investors, producers, and consumers. Each one relies on one another equally. You can't have an economy with one of them missing. I do believe that both of the ideas that come from each party aren't toxic, but I have my own personal opinions on why I think one may be better than the other. The problem I see with the Republican party is they rely heavily on the upper class. Since they aren't the majority, they also have to rely on the previous Democrat president to f*ck up severely, hence why you see a lot of people flip flop.

If only Clinton hadn't had an affair. We would never of elected George Bush. Gore won, the Supreme Court stole the victory.

College isn't free. The government may give financial help but that doesn't make it free. How is college being free bad?

From what I can interpret from what you are saying you think taxing the rich to pay for people's healthcare is bad in America but not Canada. The Canadian government pays for healthcare with taxes.

Who pays for the police, military, firefighters, teachers, etc? Everyone who pays taxes pays for them. Who pays for unemployment? Everyone who pays taxes. The poor pay less obviously because they have less. The rich pay more because they have more.

The rich won't stay rich if the poor don't buy the goods their companies sell or use the services their companies provide. The economy relies on everyone in it. You cannot have one group without having the other. The HIGHEST tax rate in America is 35% and that is on incomes higher than 338k per year.

7.9% of people are unemployed. A large percentage of these people do not have a college degree. Maybe if they had the opportunity to get a college education through government provided financial aid they could support themselves.

They need to get a job and save if they want to go college and earn a degree. You liberals expect everything to be handed to you if you cant "pay" for it yourself. That is where society has gone wrong. Back in the 18-1900's people worked hard for what they had, and if they couldn't afford it they went without it. That is how today should be. Not this communistic society Obama is pushing for. It is NOT right, morally or ethically to take what the rich have worked hard for, and give it to the poor people. These poor people are too lazy to go get a job, and they would much rather draw an unemployment check.
