I also have very bad insomnia. The way I've been falling asleep lately is taking in a bit of marijuana. If you have access to sleeping pills or anything, that could help. But, the absolute best way (how I usually get to sleep), is to make a nice herbal tea with nothing at all in it and just drink that about half an hour before you go to bed and it will help revitalize your body and relax it :).

Drinking tea usually leads to making me hyper, I Don't smoke Marijuana for obvious reasons but thanks for the help anyway

Have you thought of seeing a doctor? You may need a medication

Honestly, medication is not the answer. All it will do is fuck with your head and give you even more problems.

I suffer from sleeping disorders as well.

If I do sleep, it's about 6-7 hours maximum and I may fall asleep at some other point for about 2-3 hours.

I have not found a way to completely get rid of my disorder, but I usually just put something on to watch that I have already seen plenty of times. If you've already seen it, you will not be watching it as much and it's more of just a comfort thing. I also make sure to keep it on a low volume and have all other light sources off.

Another thing that helps me is to have a slight breeze going through my apartment. The cooler air makes my blankets a lot more comfortable and causing me to be a lot more relaxed.

I wish you luck as I know sleeping disorders suck. People always jump the gun with medications, but I honestly do not recommend especially with the huge increase with deaths/medical related issues revolving around sleeping disorder medication.

Just find what works for you and keep testing more methods to put yourself in a completely relaxed state.
