no more @live.com?

So I tried to make a new @live.com email today for one of my apps, and I no longer see the option, only @outlook.com and @hotmail.com

Is this official? did anyone hear about this?

Yeah no one really does. I think they are doing it to promote their @outlook.com domain.

Yeah hotmail sounds grody too. I really don't know anyone irl that uses @live though. Everyone seems to favor gmail.
