No idea what to develop

Never though I'd have this problem. Been wanting to learn PHP for the last 4 months and I finally sit down to do it, I'm getting used to it and bam, I realise I have nothing simple enough to develop, only extremely difficult things. Wow, this utterly sucks. I can't find any ideas of what I want to do. Does anyone have one or two?

Employ a developer? Since you have a 1k+ budget..
 
For starters just make some simple PHP scripts where if the IP is your IP, write TRUE to file new.txt and if not, write FALSE to file scammers.txt - As-well as writing TRUE/FALSE, you could make something appear on the webpage like uh IDK, something simple like hello.

Make sure there's a new.txt and scammers.txt blank document uploaded to the same directory as the php file.

Then just visit the file in your browser.


If you need help with this, I can assist as I'm very bored and depressed.
 
How about you focus on the expansion your supposed to be working on, instead of trying to learn how to program on the fly.

Also, like brock said it would be cool to have Runegear and User-submitted photo-galleries.
