Welcome to the first edition of Never's ForumKorner News. I will be keeping this up if you guys enjoy this. This will be the first edition, so if you'd like me to continue please let me know :)

This has been an exciting week for ForumKorner! Here is our headlines.


  • @Beware added to staff! Beware has been added to the staff team by Narc! We are all sure he'll do a great job :)
  • @Philly has decided that ForumKorner is done with Cloudflare CDN. We know this decision is for the best to stop attacks on FK.
  • New userbars announced! For the new theme, we will be upgrading our userbars! This was due to be done by 9/19, however due to unexpected maintenance regarding DDoS attacks this has been lengthened.
  • Advertisements are now visible to all ForumKorner members, upgraded or not.
  • Groups are now expected to have 1,000 posts in the subforums per month or the group will be deleted. Many groups are now on the market due to this rule.
  • FK is now on Instagram! Narc has gotten the Instagram @ForumKorner from @"Herb.". Contribute to ForumKorner and leave them a follow!

Here are the latest news coming from the real world!

  • First ebola patient dies. The Liberian man responsible for bringing Ebola to the United States has just died in a Texas hospital, shortly after possibly infecting up to 80 other people with the horrible virus.
  • Today, 19 people died in Turkey due to violent protests against ISIS, the violent "caliphate" committing what seems like a genocide.
  • 6.2 magnitude earthquake shakes (literally) the coast of Mexico. There is no immediate report of deaths or injury, however reports are still coming in.

Here's this week's interview! Today, we're interviewing @Beware, FK's newest staff member.

Me:: Hey, Beware, how is life now that you are staff?
@Beware: It's been the same pretty much. I have a lot more responsibilities obviously but it's been good.
Me:: Awesome! Is it difficult keeping up with reports?
@Beware: Not really. Some people do false reports from time to time, but they learn from it.
Me: What was your reaction when Narc messaged you if you want to become staff?
@Beware: I was shaking quite a bit. I didn't know if he was joking or if he was serious.
Me: Well Beware, you've worked really hard to obtain this. Anything you want to say to the rest of FK?
@Beware: I'd like to thank all the members who have been supportive of my promotion. And don't worry, I won't let power get to my head.

I liked the GFX though. Good job on those. But, you'll need some that work on a Dark Theme too.

Thanks. And the majority of the forum uses the dark theme so I just stuck with that.
 
Why is everyone bashing this guy about making a news thread? Well done sir, I thought this News thread was quite awesome, and I think you should make more.
 
Hey, people can bash you left and right, but at the end of the day I think this is a pretty great idea, and it certainly shows two things 1. Your dedication to the forum, I mean for christ sake you just did more than the whole Journalist Usergroup did. And 2. it shows how up to date you are throughout the forum's all the time.

I would certainly like to see more of these.

lol people are so damn picky. I hit 1000 posts not threads whoever was complaining. Thank you @Never for mentioning me in this.

I agree with the statement above. I can tell that a hell of a lot of time, dedication and effort went into not only the news itself, but also the graphics, layout and accuracy of it all. I definitely wouldn't mind seeing more of these. Keep it up!
