Need IRC Setup - Official Market Forums IRC Network

Hi,

Like the topic states we need an IRC set up on a dedicated CentOS server of mine. Crayo, has decided to make this the Official MF IRC Network.

We need to get a person to set it up. He must pass the certain requirements:

• Must be experienced
• Must have PuTTy or any other SSH client
• Must be Premium+ Member or have a Post Count of over 300

Lexar can do this since he set the other MF IRC up with Lmcampbell.

I don't see the point in setting up a complete IRC daemon just for one forum; you'll be wasting a lot more resources on a server that'll probably end up having 10 users and 4 channels max.
Just create a channel on an already existing and populated server, like Undernet. At least that way you won't have an empty server and will have more advertising for the forum when users join your channel.

I can understand your desire to have a complete IRC network dedicated to this forum and your dream of it being populated with thousands of users, but that just doesn't happen.

Don't even get me started on the security issues you'll face.

See this is only a thread for people who are capable of actually of setting up the IRC. We have a dedicated server which I bought which has no use, it would rather be better using it as an IRC than wasting $80.

It's installed but something probs the previous IRC server he installed is conflicting. All he has to do is give me VPS panel or he can go in and terminate the process then go to SSH and type cd ~ and then cd Unreal3.2 and then ./unreal start and it's up
