My personal debate

So on a 5 hour car ride, me and my friend got bored. I was eating a starburst and I had the paper wrapper in my hand. I turned to my friend and said I could kill him with the paper. He asked how, to which I replied that I would put poison on the paper and force it down his throat. He then said that the poison was what killed him and not the paper. So I asked him, "If I shoot you with a gun, what killed you?" To which he replied, the gun. I said, "No, the bullet killed you(or the blood gushing out because of the bullet if you want to be technical xD) but people say the gun did. Just as the poison killed you, but people would say the paper killed you."

Not sure if I'm right or an idiot, so you decide! Discuss what you think.

I figured this is a debate but if you think it should be in the lobby or something you can move it.

Lol reading over this makes me feel like a sycopathic killer.

If you want to be techincal:
The immune system shutting down, allowing more bacteria in, would kill.
The lack of blood flowing through, cause by the bullet, would kill.

Interesting. My take;

The poisons effect on your bloodstream stopping your heart killed you. So basically, the poison.

And blood loss or artery failure killed you from the bullet which came from the gun. But in technical terms, it is blood loss/artery failure that killed you.

In the literal sense I the paper didn't kill him, but I'm using his words against him with the gun example.

Well, it's hard to force poison down the throat just if it was liquid. So technically, both of the things killed him, the combination.

Just as in the gun combination.

The gun pushes away the bullet in such a fast speed that it actually kills you, if you would just throw it, it wouldn't kill.

The combination kill, not either of it, both.
