My first website design - Rate?

Please ignore the ugly circles with the light bulb and the gears in them :| I rushed it. Please tell me what you think of this. This is my first one after a lot of practice and learning! ​

7/10. I like the modern look, but I have seen this design style too much. With the different bars of colors, the logos. But other than that it is perfecto amigo.

Overall it looks okay, but definitely not the best website design in the world. To be, the sizing and spacing of the words and items are really messed up. I would rather it be smaller, and actually be the size of a website.

An easy way to make it the size of a website is to use grids. You are easily able to find some on the internet that are saved as a .PSD file.

In fact, here is the grid I use. http://960.gs/

It'll help you with your sizing and such.

I sucked when I first started making website designs, and I still suck at making them

It just takes time and repetition until you get good at it.

I know who you are talking about, Jord and Crow. I am also on LeakSX, which I am from there too, in which you might remember me.

Jord is very good at graphics, and it super helpful to new beginners. He gives out amazing advice.

Crow, I know, but I haven't talked to him about graphics....

You're a quick learner mate, there's a lot of improvement that could be done but it's good for a beginner.

For a first website, definitely really good work, just as others have said the modern look looks really good, but the red is also bothering me a bit.

I was expecting something more of an amature website when I read the title but definitely surprised me.

It's obvious you have talent in the field, however the site itself is cliched and overdone in my opinion. It looks like you're trying to hard to mimic another website, and the coloured bar just looks like Google.
