I shared this on another forum but I guess I'll share it here too, yesterday my cat died because someone idiot ran it over and didn't even bother to stop and let anyone know or to search to see who owned it. I had to go out in the evening to search for it and found it laying there in the road, his name was Waffles, the best pet I've ever owned.

I'm not sure if I should get another pet or not :'(

That's pretty unfortunate, even worse that the person didn't even stop.

That's unfortunate, bro. I always feed some good protein to the cats I see. They need to be big and strong to avoid this stuff.
 
Sorry to hear you lost your cat! That is terrible! As a fellow cat owner I feel your pain and feel bad for you :/

As to if you should get another cat. If you can move on from what happened to Waffles, and let it go, I say get another cat. I just wouldn't let it outside anymore, or just let it out in your backyard and keep an eye on him/her.

Sorry about some of the assholes on here too.
 
I'm sorry to hear that. A few weeks ago a stray that my family looks after got run over too, not a nice thing to hear about. I hope you're feeling okay and try not to let the sadness and shock get to you otherwise it'll make things even harder to overcome.
