Moving in to a new house.

I have just moved in to a new smaller spaced apartment. Whew! It's really tiring to move my things from my old house to this new one. I chose a smaller type of apartment to cut down on maintenance cost particularly on electricity expenses. Besides, my old house needs a lot of fixing to do and I have no one who can help me out with that concern. I found out later that however uncomfortable my old house was, I still feel missing it. I couldn't sleep easily during my first two days of stay here in the new apartment. However, I was able to sleep well on my third day. Perhaps due to extreme exhaustion fixing all my things.

How about you? Anyone here who would tell story about moving in to a new home?

I have once moved to another house when I was 18 but i find it boring to live on my own so I came back to my old family house when I was 19 and decided to stay there with my parents and brothers.

Well, when I moved in a new house (an apartment) it was totally different. I felt like going back to my family's home because in my new flat, I need to do everything - cook, laundry, clean and all. But, I had no other choice because it was closer to my workplace and I had the convenience of time and money for fare. I couldn't sleep at first because I missed my own bed and my own room but eventually, I had gotten used to it.

But last time, I finally quit my job and again, I returned to my family's home and nothing really changed but I love to feeling of being back in my own slumber and enjoying the convenience of my own home.

I know how you feel. Home is where your heart is. When i was a lot younger, :) during my college days, I rented a boarding house near my school, it was my sister's idea actually, and so I have to stay there until the last day of weekdays and I would have to go home at weekends. Eventually i really missed not only my house but the care of my mom, then I found myself coming home every 3 days, until I realized I've been going home daily and not staying in my dorm anymore. So my sister advised me to take my things from the dorm and return home instead. Nothing feels quite like your home where your family lives together.
