I've been with my lady for over 4 years.
I work at one of the largest banks in the entire world.
I service defaulted mortgage accounts (short sales, settlements).
I make guap.
When I'm not on here, I am likely to be:
- Working, besides my day job where I get great money, frequent incentive checks for $800.00 and tons of benefits,
--I have multiple streams of income (other than work, mostly RuneScape [OSRS] gold)
- Sleeping
- Spending time with aforementioned lady
- Gaming (Xbox One, X360, PC)
- Listening to music (trap, dubstep, grindcore, death metal, pop, anything really)
- Huuuuge movie collection. Over 500 physical DVDs on some expensive shelves. I want to join the Cinema crew. 8)
- Spending money
- Spending time with family
- Trying to create a better tomorrow

Why are you here?
I have a personal website in the process of development.
I'm working towards getting unique, secure handles on social mediums (IG, Twitter, AIM, Skype, Kik)
so that I can have an attractive business card for my consulting business,
while at the same time seeming professional to some degree.
Also in the market for a neat Gamertag.
Other than those things, it just seems like a chill community with many trusted people.

So, yeah.

I'm not a professional criminal. Here, Cannabis, let me paint a picture for you.

You and your wife have had your home for 25 years.
You've been loyal borrowers and haven't missed a payment in that time.
Suddenly, your wife is diagnosed with cancer.
The treatments cost you $6,000.00 a month, because your insurance doesn't cover it.
Obviously, your loving wife is the most important thing at this time.
After 6 months of not paying your mortgage, it goes into default.
Instead of foreclosing on your home, since you've been a loyal customer for so many years, we offer alternatives to forcing you from your home.
Your mortgage has a current balance of $60,000.00.
You send me a letter describing your hardship and you offer $9,000.00 to settle your loan so that you're not forced from your home.
I'm the guy that signs the settlement agreement that saves your home and also saves you $51,000.00.

Explain to me how I could ever possibly be the bad guy in this situation.
My job is very rewarding and it's a wonderful feeling to know that I've saved people their homes, versus the bank foreclosing on their property.

In that situation, you're not doing anything criminal but only because nobody could have predicted cancer. The industry you work in is criminal if you haven't noticed. Mortgage brokers lending way more than what they knew the person could actually payoff and then threw an adjustable interest rate on it so they could jack the rate up when the borrower couldn't pay. Houses were taken, people forced to live in the street because they were taken advantage of.

In that situation, you're not doing anything criminal but only because nobody could have predicted cancer. The industry you work in is criminal if you haven't noticed. Mortgage brokers lending way more than what they knew the person could actually payoff and then threw an adjustable interest rate on it so they could jack the rate up when the borrower couldn't pay. Houses were taken, people forced to live in the street because they were taken advantage of.

In that situation, you can't really blame the banks. It's the person's own fault for trying to live out of their means. Would I get a mortgage with an ARM (that can essentially go up to 10%, depending on market activity) that costs $1,800.00 a month? No. Why? Because that $1,800.00 a month could easily jump to $2,500.00 if the market is on the upswing. No one should ever ever get an ARM because it's just idiotic. If someone puts themselves into a situation of their own accord (signing a mortgage agreement), they should be held accountable for it. At the end of the day, it's a matter of principle. You pay what you say you'll pay for, and if you can't keep your end of the deal (paying your mortgage), you don't get their end of the deal (the property). Simple.
