Anyone else listen to metal of any kind? Speed Metal, thrash metal, djent, metalcore, death metal, hardcore, anything.

My favorite genres would have to be Metalcore, Djent, and Suicide Silence. (They get their own genre, they're amazing.)

Some of my favorite bands are Suicide Silence, Attila, Memphis May Fire, Of Mice & Men, Parkway Drive, Asking Alexandria, and Miss May I.

What's your guy's favorite metal genre and band(s)?
 
My friend's like obsessed with thrash metal and he's always playing me some megadeth songs, I think it's okay.

None of these garbage bands are even remotely good, nor are they anywhere near being metal.

A real metal band would be something like Metallica (I barely listen to them, but they are a good example of Metal). These bands are the bands the 14 year old girls with no taste in music at my school listen to.

Same to you. I'm sorry you feel that way. If you don't like it, why's you comment flaming me? These are bands that have some fun riffs to play and I enjoy listening to them.

And that's fine, but it annoys me when people don't know the difference between metal and other genres.

What would Slipknot fall under and is Insane Clown Posse considered metal ?

Slipknot would be under some sub-genre of Metal, and Insane Clown Posse is no where near being Metal.
I've never listened to them, but they would be considered some type of hip-hop group.
