This thread is for anyone who smokes with multiple people.
These rules usually apply to mainly smoking sessions with a group of people, but can apply when smoking with just an extra friend or 2.
Marijuana etiquette rules:
1) He who rolls the bud, lights it and takes the first hit(s). Roller's rights.
2) If someone rolls for the group, tell them how nice of a job they've done.
Something along the lines of "Good shit, man." as you take a toke. Or whatever suits you.
3) Do not ever bogart the weed, even it's your weed.
It's called "puff, puff, pass" for a reason. Puff, puff, then pass.
4) Never complain about the quality of someone's marijuana.
No one's forcing you to smoke it. If you don't like it, don't smoke it.
5) If someone smokes you out, it's only polite to return the favor in the near future.
6) If there is a drink available and someone has cotton mouth, don't deny them the drink.
If someone starts to cough from a hit, offer them a drink.
7) If the smoking session is happening at your house, it's impolite to not feed others' munchies.
Even more so if they are the ones who brought the bud.
8) Whoever brings the bud, picks the music. Unless you are given consent to do otherwise.
9) Do not get your saliva all over the mouthpiece of whatever you're smoking out of. It's nasty.
But even if you end up doing so, make sure to wipe it off before passing it to the next person.
10) If smoking from a joint or blunt, remember that they are constantly burning.
Take your hit(s) and pass immediately.
11) Never over-hype the quality of your marijuana.
There is nothing more annoying than hearing "Dude I got that dank ass kush" and then when smoking, it turns out to be shakes.
12) When smoking from bowls, never pass someone what is basically an ash tray. Or if you do, warn them first.
13) Try not to light the entire bowl when smoking from a bong or pipe. Leave some for the rest of us.
14) Generally when smoking, the rotation goes to the left.
15) If a mess is made, he who made the mess must clean it up.
Bong water spill, ash on the floor, etc.
16) Never criticize other people's smoking habits. How, when, where, and how often they get high is their business and not yours.
17) Help block the wind from the lighter if this is a problem.
Cup your hands over the lighter to help out your fellow stoner.
18) If you can't roll, be honest instead of trying to roll and making it sloppy.
No one likes a badly rolled joint/blunt.
19) Unless you are the one bringing the weed and have somewhere you need to be, always smoke and stick around.
Don't smoke/get smoked out and bounce, it's just rude.
20) Thank the person who has gotten you high.
