For those of you who know what Dark Souls is, I'll be trying to make myself a set of Solaire's armor from the game for cosplay. I'll be using a popular method of heating foam sheets (the ones you use for mats such as these http://img.diytrade.com/cdimg/22877/1498527/0/1125323996.jpg or even yoga mats) with a heat gun to mold them into shapes with the addition of hot glue. After that, bondo/fiberglass for support, and then paint. I'll be posting my progress here for you guys to view, maybe someone here can be inspired and work towards their own goal or maybe help me out with mine :)

Update #1 - At the moment, I'm taping together pieces of paper to create a large sheet from where I can lay out the design of the helmet flat, and then cut out of the foam. The purple foam is a thick insulation door foam which I'll be using for the long stiff parts of the costume, which will be the sword and sheathe respectively. I'll post back soon with the design!

Update #2 - So I've completed my paper modeling of it. My next update will be moving onto actual foam! Keep in mind for the images while I'm wearing the helmet, it's just folded in four areas to make it a slight circle shape but it just ends up being this blocky piece. It shows the general idea of where everything is and if it's mapped correctly, the foam helmet will hug my face tighter so it isn't as large, and it'll actually have a circle form. Stay tuned!
