Lower + and - rep?

Just a suggestion, I'm not sure if you all will agree because you like the high rep thing, but I think it would look a lot nicer if the rep was lowered. Now I know 5, 10 and 15 is cool because people won't have odd numbers on their rep page, but yeah.

Honestly, I do agree with this. I have my reasons on why. It first came to me when I joined, I noticed a lot of people had such high rep, yet they are only repped by a hand full of people. The system just seems it's used so heavily here. But it is it's own system in that aspect. I'm just more used to other forums that have like 10 as their max reputation points by admins.
Though I doubt this will be supported. Members won't risk losing their rep by implementing this.

I disagree with this. Reputation is different from site to site, and 500 rep could be high on other sites, but low on this site. It doesn't make a difference to me.

I believe it's just because this forum is one of the only ones who let members give such high rep, so it's just something to get used to. It's not a bad or good thing, it's just unique. So I guess some people will have to take time to get used to it, like I am.

Even if you change the amount you can rep, people are still going to have stupid high rep cause everyone reps them. That's why they have high rep in the first place.

Yeah true, but we don't do stuff just because other sites do. We like to set ourselves apart from them.

I never said they are a lot, it's just different and it would be nice to see them lowered. If anything was a lot, +15 is a lot. Sure it's an upgrade feature, but whatever the number is, it's still going to be a huge factor when people upgrade.

I didn't ask to change it to a certain number, so I wasn't saying we should be like HF. I was simply stating that I think it's a high number. If it gets changed or not, it doesn't really matter to me, but I never once said that we should be like HF.

I heavily disagree with this. If we change the reputation system, that's just one more thing that is taken away from the site that sets us aside from others.

At first I wanted the repuation to be lowered. But I found no reason to make it lower. I like it the way it is now.
