Make sure to ask where they got it from, and ask where that person got it from and so on until you know the full history, if something seems the slightest bit sketchy, don't deal. I got scammed that way cause i trusted the guy.

1.Study the gamer tags history to make sure its legit
2.Make sure seller is reliable
3.Have a middle man

Not only that, but make sure to ask the people where they get it from. Then ask that person who they got it from, then ask that person who they got it from and make sure each persons story matches up who they sold it to.

People also jack MS Employee tags even without a water mark. So also look out for that, people have dox's to the tags, and the tags can be taken back and you will be banned/consolebanned.
