I've really been wanting to study abroad for a year, and I've been thinking about going to Japan. It's a really beautiful country and I'm super interested in the culture that they have there. I'm not sure what I need to do to get started and planning it out. I've researched around and gotten some basic information, but I was wondering if anyone here lives/has lived/been to Japan? Any tips and or help is appreciated.

My son has just returned from a three months work tour in Japan and he loves it there! He loves the food, the culture, the friendliness of people, and the beautiful country view! He said he doesn't mind living there for the rest of his life. So I think you've picked a great place there to explore and study!

I want to go to Japan too, I feel like I would love everything there.
As for tips, I couldn't really tell ya man. You'll probably know everything I'll tell you since you've researched already. Just find out somewhere that you can go to study abroad there. Then just basically get all the basic info down. You'll be fine, good luck if you actually do go to Japan to study abroad.

I've been wanting to goto Japan for years now, if I ever make it to my retirement days, that's where I'm going.

Don't go around acting like they all watch anime there.

I've been there, it's really cool, but idk if I would want to live there for the rest of my life.

Thank you all for the kind replies! I appreciate them :). I'm getting really excited because it's such a beautiful country.
