Who uses a *nix OS, and which do you prefer? I used to use Ubuntu (9.something I think), and it was faster than any windows os but it doesn't have nearly enough programs than Windows has.

Since ubuntu is new and free comparing too windows, you coud really expect less feature than windows. linux probably would be for purely average users like word document stuffs and internet

I use Linux 4 OS on my VMware to practise my Database Administration. Its kinda good specially dealing with security.

Ubuntu 11 is great. It is made for home edition and I liked it. I used both KDE and GNOME versions.

yes i think Ubuntu is the best one for the personal computer it is really easy to use it is home edition
