I posted this in the lobby because it would stay more active than in the sports section.. So I'm sure some of you may know that I have been lifting for a while now. I just thought I would make a little thread to show my improvements; I'm very happy with them.

Bench: 135 to 165
Squat: 215 to 225
Deadlift: 245 to 275
Clean: 155 to 195
Snatch: 95 to 120
Jerk: 135 to 155

Now that they have been posted, maxouts are next week and I'll be updating this thread every day.

Also please remind you this; I am 6'0 and weigh 142 lbs... So don't judge me to harshly...

Goals:

Bench: 180
Squat: 245
Deadlift: 295 to 300
Clean: 210
Snatch: 135
Jerk: 170

Good stats there. I lift 5 days a week and play basketball 3-4 times a week. I don't lift heavy, but just enough to stay stronger than the average person and a little cut. I don't max because I'm not trying to get huge. I usually rep 185 10 times, 3 sets. I never deadlift. I don't squat. I do plyometrics from p90x videos for leg workouts.

Usually my coach will take us outside to do conditioning, plyometrics and speed work. Unlike today we just did abs and position drills. I am into trying to gain as much weight as possible, I kinda have a low self esteem when it comes to how small I am. So I'm changing that. I can see myself getting way stronger, like when I first started I couldn't imagine get 135 on bench. Now that's what I do 5 times in a set of 3 by 5's.. I've been working my ass off for the past 14 weeks. I'm glad it's paying off.

Yeah, I'm sure you know to just do heavy weight and low reps. Also, try to get in 2500 calories if you are trying to gain. Take some protein as well. Maybe take creatine. I take 1 gram of creatine a day vs the usual 5 grams that come in pills. My pre workout drink has 1 gram in it.

Usually I take in close to 3000, but I do use creatine and sometimes pre-workout. I've gained so much muscle mass in close to 14 weeks. Getting ready for football season

Not to shabby, you beat me on bench but that's about it.
Bench: 155
Squat: 325 ish
Deadlift: 350 ish
Clean: maxed at 225 yesterday
Snatch: about 190
Jerk: 165

Granted we're the same height but I have 50 pounds on you.

I don't usually lift, I play mostly tennis from tuesday to friday.
Sometimes I go to the gym when I don't end too tired after tennis, but I mostly do abs and lift the enough to get stronger and not damage my muscles.

And well the sport section is there for some reason :x

I'm getting pretty excited for max-outs. I lied, they aren't next week but the week after.

Today I got:

Hang Clean: 185
Hang Snatch: 110 -- I HATE THIS EFFING LIFT...

I use to get 175 and like 95...

:D I loveeeee lifting. I want to be on the currently non-existing power lifting team. I'd smoke kids in my weight division.

Pro tip: With cleans and snatches, pop you hips out as hard as you can when the bar is about 80% of the way up your thigh. When I started doing this on top of trying to jump off the ground while doing these lifts, I noticed my max jump up 30 lbs right off the bat for cleans and 25 for snatches. Olympic lifts are 95% technique.

Thanks bruh, but I already do that (;

Ehh took me some time to figure out, but I wasn't really taught to lift.

My coach has taught me everything to lifting. He is 180 lbs and he squats 450+ and benches 350+... He is insanely strong... I kinda inspire to be that strong!

Monday through Thursday I'll update this thread and tell you if I get any good weights :)

Next week (after this coming one) is max out week... :D I'm super excited to see where I stand

Way better than what I can do. So it is amazing to me.

Well this is something I strive for and I love lifting. It is one of my favorite past-time/hobbies. This coming Saturday I am going to a "recruiting" combine. It gets some general information about what you can do and then it gets sent to every college in the USA. I've been working for 14 weeks to become the best that I can;

Wish me luck! Ha, this is going to be a long week.

EDIT: So today I tweaked my hamstring! Fuck! D:

Bench: I got 165 easily; So I'm hoping to max out at 185
Squat: I got 255 so hopefully I max out at 265
Deadlift: This is where I tweaked my hammy; I got 245 before I stopped
