It appears he was attempting to mildly troll you with the ideology revolving around learned and learnt. Funnily enough, both are acceptable however, learnt is the one that is more controversial and/or frowned upon by society in general if they have a relatively decent knowledge in the English language.

I do biology, chemistry and physics.. I personally feel that they go hand in hand, and doing them all is the best way to go in order to grapple basic scientific philosophy within all fields. :]

I like Physics. Microbiology is neat too, just not totally big on Ecology.

Omg, definitely agree with you there; that sector is boring shit lol. The fun part of biology is things such as polymerase chain reactions where you get to use micropipettes to measure out microlitres of dH20 etc..
