What's the reason everybody seems to use kik? I would just like an explanation before I actually go ahead and take kik more seriously.

What makes it a better messaging system than Skype, and if it isn't. Why use it? This is in no way a bash on kik in anyway. I'm just simply curious.

Well for one kik doesn't rape my battery like skype does.
Plus it's simpler, and I'm always hitting the call button on skype when I am trying to hit the home button. It's annoying as hell where they have placed it. Besides that, I like both equally but prefer Kik, that way I can see when they open my messages

But that's my personal preference. Jaja

I guess its another method you can use instead of using your data by texting your friends and stuff.
So if you can't text anymore because of your data etc. You can use kik.
I don't use it very often, only when people message me first on it.
