KIK trick anyone?

Does anyone know the KIK trick, where if someone sends you a message and you read it , it doesn't say ''R'' instead it would just say ''D'', it might be not a trick, but can someone shed some lights on this?
 
I've been looking for this for a while. No luck so far.
 
I don't know. This happens to me, if I open the conversation then my phone lags and I back out of it, it says it's a new message & that I haven't read it.

Someone can tell if you're in the Kik app, though, because it's a darker shade of grey. If you're not im the Kik app, it's a lighter grey 'd', almost white. That's how you know if someone is ignoring you & read the message without opening it.
 
There's no trick. It remains as a "D" for the sender if you log out without reading it. Once you read it, it will then be an "R." Then, sometimes (which I think you're referring to), you'll see one message with a "D" and one that was sent after with an "R." That happened because the receiver logged out without reading the first message, then logged back in and received the second.

I'm terrible at explaining this.

My friend has it as we speak, but he won't tell me.
 
My friend showed me this, you have to click the click to convo and exit quickly as soon as you open the convo. . It always works... well for him.. I always fail . This is only good to see a glimpse of a pic or something lol
 
I'm pretty sure there's got to be some jailbreak tweak with this lol.
