I've Hit A Major Speedbump In My Life

Well, as some of you may know, I am finished with Highschool. My last day was a few days ago.
Graduation is Monday.

Anyways, also as some of you may know, me and my girlfriend I've been with 3 years broke up awhile ago.
Well, we worked things out and we've been together about 2 weeks now.
Things are great. We've re-fallen in love.

But.

Heres the speedbump.

She's pregnant.
Yep, I'm gonna be a father.
I'm not worried, I will support her and my child no matter what.
I start work next week. I'll be making 450$+ paychecks.
I have living arrangements worked out also, through my mom's best friend.
Her daughter killed herself in her house and she's gonna rent it to me. (I know, creepy right?)
200$ a month for a pretty nice brick house.

Anyways, I just thought I'd let you guys know.
 
Thats crazy bro but you know what thats life just be thankful that this didn't happen to you while you were in high school. I'm sure you'll do fine i some what know you and you seem like a pretty responsible guy. And it looks like you already have a plan and are taking it head on instead of other guys which just get up and leave. But what I'm trying to say is i hope everything goes great and you have a happy, healthy baby

p.s that daughter killing herself thing could make a good ghost story on that one thread
 
Oh wow I'm sorry to hear about the girl committing suicide. Good luck being a father, but remember not to give up your life trying to bring in a quick paycheck.

I would never up and leave my family, I'm not like most guys.

And you know what, I should definitely bump that thread!
Although I don't know the story behind why her daughter killed herself.

It'll be creepy living in her house though haha.

By that do you mean selling drugs?
 
No I don't mean drugs haha. I meant l know a lot of kids who decided not to go to college, study, or learn a trade and decided to jump straight into a job to get some quick money. I wasn't sure I thought you were planning to get an unspecialized job to get some quick money.

My plan is to work and build my savings until it is time for the baby, and when everything is settled in and we're comfortable with our home life, I will begin to go to a community college around here.
From there I plan to go to a trade school of some kind.
And my girlfriend plans to be an anesthesiologist.

I'm guessing she is going to be the "bread winner" of the family.
 
Dude that's one fucked up neighbourhood, hope it all works out for the better.

Well thats good, I did a quick check on average salary and its in the 100k's USD. And thats a fine idea and community college is a great idea. If you work hard at it then you can transfer to a university after whether on scholarship or paying yourself.

Yeah, the career she wants to get into has a substantial salary.
I am determined to work hard and provide for my family :).

Thank you very much and yes the baby is mine.
Trust me, if you knew the girl you'd understand.
She sat her ass at home the whole time we were broken up, besides going to school.

Thanks man, and I'll be sure to do that, if RuneGear is even around 9 months from now.
And yeah, I used to be pretty popular on here until I went inactive for a couple weeks.

Yes, we get like coupons for diapers and miscellaneous baby items such as food.

Ah that's okay i support, here in Australia, the mother gets like 400 every 2 weeks and plus another 400 for the baby, and when the baby is born the mother gets like 3 grand straight up.

Sounds great man, you're showing real maturity and I'll think you'll be a great dad. It's great that you still plan on moving forward in your life with community college. It will be hard at first, especially for your girlfriend but once you finish it'll be WELL worth it.

PedoBear, you're a great guy, and you sure damn will be a great father. It's great to see you making plans so quickly, instead of leaving like the other men. Good-job, I hope you and your girl have a wonderful life, oh and the baby. :D
