Is the honey weight loss myth true?

I heard that if you eat 2 tablespoons of honey a day that you can lose up to 5 - 10 pounds in a month while also watching what you eat and exercising. my mother also told me that honey boosts your metabolism. If this myth is Not true, could someone tell me another way to lose 5 - 10 pounds in a month?
