I can't say that there is the best political system in the land. It depends on the ruler and the people. However, I can say that democracy is for the people, by the people and to the people. But if democracy is abused by the people definitely, there will be mobocracy where the power of the mob is overpowering the executive power of the government. It is I think up to the state and how one runs the government! As King Louis XIV of French quoted:"L'etat c'est moi!"

In my opinion, democracy will always be flawed, as will every political viewpoint. It could be improved by being more like Greek democracies, with direct participation. Of course, you could also argue that America is too large to do that, but it would be nice to at least be a little more of a direct democracy.

living in a democratic country has its many advantages. freedom is your friend, you can do whatever you want as long as its not against the law. i can't say if its the best political system ever because i haven't experienced living in other countries where there are different system. the thing is, it's not the system that makes it unacceptable but the people who implement the system are the ones to blame for. like here in the philippines, many government officials are corrupt giving priorities to their own needs and ambitions.

There is no doubt that Democracy is the best political system practiced in the world. Everything has demerits and merits. Democrcy also has some drawbacks. It can be improved by the direct and active participation of the people. The rulers should be responsible to the people . In this way democracy can be improved.
