Just a suggestion I had in mind that we can change this to an IPB forum. Now for those of you who do not know what IPB is I will enlighten you:

IPB includes the following:

-Chatbox
-Status Updates
-Blogs

What do you guys think?

The forum will never switch over to IPB, as to the chat not being implemented that is so the forum doesn't lose activity by people posting in the chat.

A status update mod is available for myBB.
As I know of, there is no blog mod available for myBB.
There's definitely a chatbox plugin available.

IMO myBB is better than IPB in many different ways, but I don't feel like listing them.

A chat box is a great idea that has been suggested many times already, but I do not feel a blog or status update would work well. We do not want to be facebookV2

There will never be a chat box and as for IPB, I completely disagree. I dislike it thoroughly!

I mean no offense but you can't just immediately join a forum and start suggesting huge changes. You obviously just need to get used to MyBB; it is a beautiful forum platform with endless possibilities regarding plugins and themes.

IPBoard's code is messy and unorganized and is full of bugs. MyBB is a community open-source forum platform that is free on the contrary of the expensive IPBoard.

ipb? get that shit outta hhheeerrrre. mybb is where its at my friend.

Chatbox is one of the most useless features that can be added to forums. Forum =/= chatbox. The whole purpose of a forum is public (threads / posts) or private (private messages) discussion. Everything else above that isn't forum related.

Same for blogs - if you want a blog solution(s) use a (micro)blogging services. Vbulletin added a blog, usegroups (pages, discussions) and other social features and ended up with 40% of useless stuff that is disabled / removed.
