While doing some of my homework, I stumbled across a rather interesting quote.
I want to see what other people perceive this quote as.

"In the face of uncertanity, we are left with little other choice than to continue living."
 
Kind of broad and makes no sense at all.

It is suppose to be broad. Remember, this is a philosophical subforum, I am seeing what people THINK about the quote, or how it would relate to that specific member.

I understand. I'm just saying, when faced with uncertainety, people usually overcome it, not just go on living the same o' uncertained life. Yeah, I know, I'm bad at this. I think it's more of an emo. quote.

You cant really overcome some forms of uncertainty, like religion for example.

I get the idea of the quote I think, when your unsure about something you will always know to continue living.
 
This quote represents the absurdity of the world @ its finest. The world is absurd yet we perceive and believe there is meaning so we continue to search since we are alive. And we will continue to search because of this self constructed illusion that is around us. Yet we cannot perceive that the world could be with no meaning so we continue our search. It also shows that it doesnt matter what we do the great equalizer is death and it is unavoidable. Its pretty funny because with so many self-proclaimed atheists there are not many people that believe in an absurd world. Athiesm by definition is absurd because there is no god and therefore no meaning beyond death. I suggest everyone read a book such as Midnight's Children or a play like Waiting for Godot

This quote makes you think hard. Basically says that we live pointless and insane lifes but we must all keep living.
