Instagram Trademark

Can you not email Instagram to trademark someones name anymore? They are inactive and everything but there doesn't seem to be anywhere I can request a trademark on it.
Any info about this!

I was not trying to do it haha. I was bored and went looking for it! Doesn't seem to be there anymore tho...

Not that knowledgeable in the instagram bullshit but you can do this but I think Instagram won't just give names to random people, instead they'd rather hand out names to actual companies when they actually trademark

It is just very weird how the link I used to use to get the the 'trademark a username' section is now unavailable. Mmmhhh...

This is close to impossible now. You will need to forge proof of said business to provide to them for them to even consider throwing you the username as a "trademark"
