The CTF staff have decided to start some coding projects. The end results of these will be available to CTF members for free. This thread will track staff's status.

The projects will be separated into two categories:

  • Desktop
  • Alarm Clock
  • Notepad
  • Macro System

  • Web
  • MyBB Plugins
  • Polls

The entire team will be Bleepy, Carolus Magnus, SGT.Code, and Factor8â„¢.

The teams are as follows:

Desktop Applications: Carolus Magnus and SGT.Code

Web Applications: BleepyEvans and Factor8â„¢.

We'll update progress as we go!

Thanks.

- We shouldn't be planning any iPhone apps since none of us know Obj-C. --Factor

Good luck on your mission :p

Ill beable to contribute to both Desktop and Web but my main position will be in the web side of things.
We.do have a few good ideas and we.will update you with them soon.

i will be able to contribute to both sections as well since my best strenght right now is a tester lol but hopfully i will be learning allong the way

So im just gonna publish the ideas voiced at the staff meeting.
Please post if you can think of any more.

what about a user interface for turning a keyboard into a macro system or somthing?

Already too many text editors out there.

And we need something unique and exclusive.
People wont use something if there is something else which does a better job

Well an alarm clock isn't really at the top of the unique and exclusive list. People can pick one up at Walmart, or the grocery store for that matter, for like .99$. :|

Only put it down because u wanted to make it deadly :p

Ive added an Apps catergory to the OP.
Im interested in creating an iPad app for the forum with random tools etc.

well i would like to make somthing like a userinterface and hardware drivers so that a keyboard type thing could be used to make a macro system where you can manage what happens when you press a key on the hardware

I get you, so like assigning a key to a macro.
Press F1 and your current window closes and iTunes opens (example)

I would have no idea how to code this, but Carolus might have an idea.

Infact I lied, sending text on a keyboard click would be quite easy.

yes and maybe if its popular and we can make it we can have exclusive CTF macro system with custom hardware

Logitech have a very nice "G -Key" system, which is basically what your looking to make

meh i wantg somthing simple like a keyboard the size of a num pad seperate to the keyboard
