I just sold 18m worth of dragon bones to some level 131.
He says thanks, goes off to change worlds, and doesn't come back on for a while.
He had wanted me to keep him added because he wanted to go for 99 prayer.
Well, he logs off, logs back on, I'm playing, he's playing.
A few hours later, I get some frost bones, ask him if he'd buy, and he tells me this:
Apparently, right after he bought the dragon bones from me, he logged off, went to eat, and couldn't log back on after. He reset the password, he logged on, and his 800m bank was gone.
So now he's telling me that he wants to kill himself. ='(
It's kind of funny, in a way, but it really sucks.
"Hey man, want to buy some frost bones? I just got some, thought you might be interested in buying. Just splurge, you want 99 prayer, I know you have enough money. =)"
Then he starts getting all sad and shit, and I didn't realize when he said "I got hacked" that he meant he got hacked RIGHT NOW, I thought it was a while ago.
So, I'm just sharing this, and wondering if anything like this has happened to anyone else. Has anyone ever been hacked in a game, realized that the thousands of hours they spent addictively playing went to waste, and felt depressed for a while?
