Huge Rant about Banned/Inactive tags

Okay, so earlier today me and a few friends were just chilling at the dashboard, adding the most oG names we could think of (Sean Mike Raw Lucky ect) and it seems that all of the accounts are either inactive or banned. This pisses me off greatly, because once a tag is banned no one can ever really use it again, and it takes tags 7 years to get reset.

Honestly if someone has not signed in in over a year, i think it's safe to say they arn't going to ever again. And as far as banned tags go, once someone gets a PERM ban, that tag should be available to anyone else who wants to use it.

/End

Microsoft wouldn't reset the OG tags because they know there would be way more people selling/buying tags then and that is against their ToS. Wish they would though.

You really think that's why? hmm never thought of that, i just figured its because they are to lazy and to big to care.

well i sold my xbox for 2 years and didnt sign in on the account once. and when i got that xbox i started using that account again. so i agree with 7 years to reset inactive tags or v1s or whatever. but i do agree with the banned tag thing. if the tag is PERM banned they should reset it or atleast change the name on the tag. but some PERM bans get resolved. so i would say they should wait like a year or so before resetting the tag just encase the ban gets resolved.

I see what you mean, although i still believe that if you are inactive for two years..you sort of forfit the tag IMO

I have had the same thoughts about OG's everytime I add random OG tags just for fun.

10% of them are banned
70% of them are v1s
10% of them are owned by assholes who own like 20 and just leave them on inactive silvers
The final 10% belong to people who actually use them like me.

SMH.

Lucky is actually active he is on my FR

i agree 100% it so true.

Yeah its ashame, so many great tags going to waste but what can you do? MS obviously doesn't want the tags being sold thats why the time on banned tags is set at 7 years.

A much higher percent than 70 is v1s. Also I think maybe four years is plenty, 7 is just too long. Also people wouldn't be buying and selling them if they were so available, which would keep people from breaking the tos.

I mostly agree with your rant. I think the reset time should be a bit longer like maybe 3 years because sometimes people might hate Xbox for a year then suddenly start playing it again.

Why is Microsoft do against people selling accounts? People sell Steam accounts, WOW accounts, etc. all the time so why can't Microsoft let people do the same? I don't really see the harm in it...
