The HTC HD2, The Worlds Largest Smartphone.

And I say that in a good way. With its 4.3 inch touch screen compared with the Apple IPhones mere 3.5 inch display the HD2 easily beats the IPhone in size.

Although some say that its not all about size, its about the hammer thats hitting it. No Im not talking about what you may think Im talking about. Im actually talking about whats under the hood, the components.

Now if you hadnt guessed already, this is basically a little 1on1 verses the IPhone, well because its one of the most popular Smartphones around.

The HTC when first released, had tonnes of RAM, 448MB to be precise, which beats the IPhone for with its eyes closed. The HTC also has 1GHz processor so you can use cool apps like, Word, Excel or PowerPoint on the go.

Now not only can you use this as a business phone, but you can use it for everyday things such as taking photos with its super high quality 5 Megapixel camera. This matches the latest Iphones camera, but earlier editions of the IPhone are easily beaten, with just 1-3 mega pixels. The HTC also packs a dual LED flash and auto focus so you can get great shots in any time of day.

The HTC has a 3.5mm stereo socket and G sensor just like the IPhone. But it also has an ambient light sensor so that your screen brightness changes in different sun light ensuring that you can see your screen wherever you are. This sensor also acts as a neat little gadget which locks your phone whilst youre on the phone, so you dont end the call by accident. You can also set up your phone so that it rings louder when its in your pocket, or when the sensor detects darkness.

If the HD2 didnt have these next two major down falls, then Id have to say it is better than the IPhone, but sadly, I cant.
The typing is a real struggle. HTC have developed this system of typing. Its like predictive but, it shows you words on your screen that you may mean, but it included words that could have been created by letters next to the letter you actually typed. Confusing huh, well it is quite cool when you get used to it, you can type really quickly. But when it randomly puts in a word that you really didnt want, it becomes a right tool to try and put right, because it keeps trying to correct you. If you tend to use text slang then Id advise you take extra care until your device learns a new language.
Also you can tilt the screen so you get your full screen keyboard if the small keyboard gets on your nerves.

The next, well the worst thing about the phone is its App Store or Market place. As the phone is based on the Windows Mobile operating system, the market place is standard. Firstly you cannot start to compare the marketplace to the Apple App Store, as the App Store pretty much rules the Smartphone app world. Also, the majority of the apps on the Market Place are either business related or are really expensive.

All in all the HTC HD2 has to potential to be one the greatest phones on the market, with its large memory, RAM and screen. But sadly its Market Place lets it down allot. Recently my HD2 has been getting buggy, but Im sure its just teething problems. My final verdict is, if youre looking for a business phone, then get the HD2. You will be amazed at how well it can do things you want it to do such as word processing or reviewing your presentations. But if youre after something that you want to waste endless hours playing on, then simply get the IPhone, after all thats all it is, a game boy, a MP3 player and phone stuck together with really strong sticky tape.

HTC HD2 3.5 Stars
- Value for money 3.5 Stars.

IPhone 4 4 Stars

lol ok nice tut i might have bought this but im gona try get the new Ipad just for lolz

WoW! HD2 is much bigger than iPhone... :O
Pretty good phone tho, but i am still saving for iPhone...

Aha yes, tbh if I had the choice, id get the iPhone IF they didnt re-release it every 6 months or so.

bleepy they do it with avrything for example the computers we will be bying in 2020 are allready ready to be built its just life and its shit (excuse my french)

Yeryer, but still, by the time you save up and buy the iphone the new one is out and theres only 4,5 released will little variants.

But say with a computer, you can mod, change hardware, software, OS, etc. I never buy an off the shelf PC, because for the same price I can buy a PC twice as better that will do me a good 4 years before it needs a referb.

tbh i think Apple are squeezing every last drop of juice from a very juicy orange. They have liked the juice and are doing it again and again.

Hopefully soon they will slow down and make something a bit differnet (and dont come back and say IPad because thats just a Iphone for a giant xD)

lol yeah but did you know the ipad goes through 15 countrys while being made? and it only cost apple like 50 $ ?

but i get what you say about building your pc i spent 470£ on my pc but i wont again caus i can get any parts i like with a big discount through a friend of myne ;)

Well that just brings up another disadvantage for the IPad. Very UN-Eco friendly :p

yeah + it gives all our jobs to the um well chinese for example but 15 other countries is like allot to look up but yeah anymore usefull info like this i get from my french teacher the il postem :)
